For The Callisto Protocol, developed by Krafton and Striking Distance Studios, support for PS5 Pro, Sony’s new console, is now available. This horror game now features two modes on the new console. The Performance mode runs at 4K and 60 FPS while Quality operates at 8K and 30 FPS. Both also include full ray tracing, which is only available in Quality mode on a standard PS5. In this third-person narrative horror game set 300 years in the future, players take on the role of Jacob Lee: an unfortunate prisoner locked up in the Black Iron prison, a maximum-security facility located on Callisto, Jupiter’s dead moon. When the other inmates start transforming into nightmarish creatures, the prison descends into chaos. To survive, Jacob will have to fight his way to freedom and uncover the dark and disturbing secrets buried beneath the surface of Callisto. Using a unique combination of melee and ranged combat, Jacob must constantly adapt his tactics to face ever-evolving monstrous creatures and find as many new weapons, items, and skills as possible to overcome the rising threat posed by the horrors of Jupiter’s dead moon.
