Alan Wake 2 surpasses 1.8 million units sold

Remedy Entertainment announced that the horror title Alan Wake 2 has surpassed 1.8 million units sold, during the company’s annual Capital Markets Day. The game is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Epic Games Store, GeForce Now, and Steam. It’s worth noting that last August, Remedy revealed they had recouped most of their development and marketing budget for Alan Wake 2.

Here’s an overview of the game from the official site:

Use light to survive in two realities corrupted by darkness. From the developers of Control comes a psychological survival horror game featuring two protagonists in vastly different worlds. Saga Anderson is an accomplished FBI agent who arrives in the small town of Bright Falls in the Pacific Northwest to investigate a series of ritualistic murders. Alan Wake is a writer trapped for years in the Dark Place, a terrifying alternate reality shaped by his words. Though they have never met, they are connected through these two separate realities, and the actions they take can alter their respective worlds.

When the events described in a horror story plunge Bright Falls under the grip of a perverse and supernatural darkness, Anderson and Wake must leverage the power of light to survive… and protect those they love. In a world capable of shaping a reality filled with victims and monsters, will they become the heroes of this story?

Alan Wake 2 is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. Stay tuned for more information.
