Like a Dragon Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii: new information revealed

Ryu Ga Gotoku Studio and SEGA have unveiled new details regarding Like a Dragon Pirate Yakuza in Hawaii, diving into aspects of combat such as the two fighting styles and adding new information about naval combat.

In battle, players can dynamically switch between two fighting styles: “Mad Dog” and “Sea Dog.”

Using the “Mad Dog” style, you can freely combine punches and kicks with knife stabs to execute a series of devastating moves and air combos to take down enemies in style. Fill the Madness Gauge by dealing damage to foes and summon a group of dark doppelgängers that amplify Majima’s attack strength.

On the other hand, adopting the “Sea Dog” style allows you to wield two blades for executing weapon combos with pirate-style slashes until you unleash brutal finishing moves. As you progress through the story, you’ll also be able to use the Madness Gauge to summon four types of dark deities using treasures known as “Dark Instruments,” plundered from rival pirate crews.

Pirate life is filled with freedom and adventure. You can sail vast oceans, explore treasure islands, and visit lighthouses in far-off lands, but dangers await along the way. In naval battles, you’ll need to avoid enemy fire, launch cannon barrages, and board rival ships to defeat their captain and crew. To win battles like a true pirate, it’s crucial to upgrade your ship and strategically organize your crew, each with specific skills ranging from attacking to healing allies. The adventure ultimately leads to the Madlantis Pirate Coliseum, an arena of challenges that range from one-on-one fights to chaotic battles against other crews, where discoveries and threats of all kinds await.
