Arc Raiders

Arc Raiders: gameplay revealed for the PvPvE extraction shooter.

Embark Studios has unveiled a new in-depth video showcasing the gameplay of Arc Raiders, a free-to-play, third-person extraction shooter set in a dangerous, post-apocalyptic version of the future Earth, ravaged by a mysterious mechanized threat known as ARC.

Accompanying the video is an update from the developers, reflecting on feedback from the recent test:

“We are still actively reviewing all the feedback from last month’s technical test. Once again, thank you for taking the time to play with us! With the initial software and everything else, it was truly an encouraging playtest. We’ve received a lot of positive comments, and many of you seem to appreciate the atmosphere of the world we’ve created and the immersion we’re bringing to the table with ARC Raiders.”

The team aims to deliver a much broader end-game experience, featuring deeper progression and extended missions that take players to new locations, alongside a greater variety of ARC machines and world encounters, as well as additional enhancements and surprises.

There will also be more playtests across all platforms ahead of the release.

In the new gameplay video, which you can watch below and was captured in the tech test build, we follow a team of three Raiders as they venture above ground to extract valuable items from the buried city of Southern Calabretta, trying to avoid the ARC and cautiously discovering whether other Raiders are friends or foes. The footage also gives a glimpse of Hope, the place the Raiders call home where each Raider’s adventure begins.

Below the video, it’s reminder that at the Opening Night Live in August, it was announced that the game will be released in 2025 (exact date still to be revealed) on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S.
