Arcadegeddon

Arcadegeddon will become free-to-play in 2025.

Arcadegeddon, the cooperative multiplayer shooter released in July 2022, will become free-to-play starting in 2025. This was announced by the Illfonic team through a post on X, including news from Gematsu. However, the exact date for this change has not yet been revealed.

The game initially launched in early access on PlayStation 5 and PC in 2021, before its full release in July 2022 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC (Steam and Epic Games Store). Currently, it is priced at €14.79.

This is the general description of the game:

This ever-evolving multiplayer shooter allows you and up to three friends to explore different biomes and mini-games, find hidden treasures, and defeat various types of enemies and bosses. Arcadegeddon offers a cooperative multiplayer experience that provides a mix of PVE and PVP gameplay suitable for various play styles. As you keep playing, you can take on additional challenges from the local “gangs” that frequent Gilly’s arcade. These will earn you much more than just a reputation. Speaking of reputation, earn your spot on the leaderboards.

Below is the tweet announcing Arcadegeddon’s transition to free-to-play. We also want to remind you that Illfonic has recently released Predator Hunting Grounds for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
