Under Defeat

Under Defeat: data by console for the new version of the shoot ’em up

Clear River Games, a publisher specializing in classic and retro games, in collaboration with the Japanese publisher and developer City Connection, announced today that the shoot ’em up Under Defeat will be available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox and Nintendo Switch starting December 5.
Available physically on PS5 and Switch, digitally on PS4, PS5, and Nintendo Switch, with digital versions for Xbox and PC via Steam (published by City Connection) coming later, Under Defeat is a definitive version of the fast-paced shooter, arriving in the West complete with downloadable content previously available only in Japan.
The original game was originally released in 2005. The Arcade mode faithfully replicates the original experience, with a 4:3 aspect ratio and a pseudo-vertical screen. The New Order mode adapts the game for modern screens, transforming the action into a 16:9 widescreen format, while the New Order+ mode adds a host of new features to the game, including the “WARNING GAUGE”, which introduces a risk/reward mechanic to assist players as they shoot, bomb, and steer through waves of enemy invaders.
Additionally, it features an enhanced soundtrack by veteran video game music composer Shinji Hosoe (Ridge Racer series, Tekken series…) and his company, Super Sweep.
Below you can watch the new trailer announcing the release date for Under Defeat on consoles, reminding you that the publisher has also recently announced the release date for Switch in Europe for the RIKI 8Bit GAME Collection.
