Golden Joystick Awards 2024: will be hosted by Ben Starr (the English voice of Clive in FF XVI)

The 42nd edition of the Golden Joystick Awards will be hosted by Ben Starr, an actor well-known in the gaming world, especially for his role as Clive Rosfield in Final Fantasy XVI, and who will also voice Verso in Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. Starr will be joined by special guests, previous winners, this year’s nominees, and VIPs from the gaming industry.

Starr had this to say:

“I’m thrilled to announce that I’ll be your guide to this year’s Golden Joystick Awards. We will celebrate the biggest games of the last 12 months, but most importantly, the talented teams behind them. Tune in for a stylish evening of festivities, special guests, entertainment, and plenty of silly jokes. See you soon, and if you haven’t done so already, make sure to vote!”

Among the guest presenters will be actors Alex McKenna (Sadie Adler, Red Dead Redemption 2), Alix Wilton Regan (Joanna Dark, Perfect Dark), Neil Newbon (Astarion, Baldur’s Gate 3), Patricia Summersett (Princess Zelda, The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom and Ash in Rainbow Six Siege), Monika Janowska from CD PROJEKT RED, and actor, game developer, and producer Abubakar Salim.

The winners will be revealed during an awards ceremony in central London, streamed live worldwide on Thursday, November 21, with voting (from the organizer GamesRadar) open until the night of November 1 to 2.
