AMD confirms the Ryzen AI Max 300 “Strix Halo” APUs

Recently announced, AMD Strix Halo is referred to as the Ryzen AI MAX 300 in the latest driver release notes on ASUS’s official website. The recent leak came from ASUS’s official site via leaker @9550pro(HXL), who discovered that the latest AMD chipset driver v6.10.02.1849 supports the upcoming Ryzen AI MAX 300 or Strix Halo chips. This series is mentioned in the release notes alongside other CPU series.

The AMD Ryzen AI Max 300 or Strix Halo will be the most powerful APU series to date, featuring up to 16 Zen 5 cores and 40 Compute Units for its RDNA 3.5-based integrated graphics. Currently, the maximum number of Compute Units is 16 in the Strix Point APUs, which come with Radeon 890M graphics. The Strix Point APUs, also known as Ryzen AI 300 processors, are sufficient for most 1080p gaming, but Ryzen AI Max 300 will significantly enhance gaming performance.
