NBA 2K25: Season 2 details, arriving on October 18

2K has officially announced the start of Season 2 of NBA 2K25, set to launch this coming Friday, October 18, introducing new content and rewards across MyCAREER, MyTEAM, The W Online, and much more, coinciding with the start of the NBA 2024-2025 season.

The second season of NBA 2K25 features Denver Nuggets point guard and NBA champion Jamal Murray. Players can look forward to new content, including a special in-game version of Jamal Murray’s New Balance TWO WXY v5 shoes, new songs, and digital outfits from EMPIRE – the soundtrack partner of Season 2; along with new rewards and updates debuting in the most popular game modes of NBA 2K25.

NBA 2K25 Season 2 includes new updates for the following game modes:

MyCAREER: Players will earn rewards by levelling up from level 1 to level 40, unlocking items like the Mascot “Stuff the Magic Dragon” at level 20, the “Media Day” hairstyle at level 23, and the “Mummy Costume” at level 39. Season 2 also introduces the 2K x New Balance TWO WXY v5 shoes at Level 32, featuring a design inspired by the gem and diamond levels of NBA 2K25. The season concludes with the level 40 reward: +1 Attribute Boost, useful for achieving higher ratings and increasing maximum potential.
MyTEAM: Season 2 introduces new MyTEAM cards featuring high-level current NBA players, Hall of Fame stars with a scoring ability, and a roster of shooting guards, including Jamal Murray. Players can build their MyTEAM line-up for the start of the NBA 2024-2025 season, starting with a Level 1 Sapphire Jamal Murray card that has “Evolution eligibility,” up to a Ruby card rated 89. As they progress, players can compete for cards like the Amethyst Obi Toppin at level 20, the Diamond James Worthy at level 35, and the ultimate reward at level 40: the Pink Diamond Tyrese Haliburton.
Season Pass: NBA 2K25 Season 2 features 40 reward levels, with the Season Pro Pass allowing players to unlock an additional 40 levels with premium content like the Cleveland Cavaliers Mascot Moondog skin, the Denver Nuggets Mascot Rocky skin, the Emissive Mummy Costume, and the Level 40 Diamond Pink Tyrese Haliburton card.
The W Online: Compete in The W Online as the WNBA Finals approach, earning Halloween-themed cosmetic in-game items, VC, and exclusive gameplay items like the “Sheryl Swoopes Coach” Card and the “Game Changer” Jersey. This season’s rewards also include a Scorpio hoodie, a witch hat, and various other exciting items.
2K Beats: In Season 2, NBA 2K Beats collaborates with EMPIRE, the renowned San Francisco-based label, distributor, and publisher known for its forward-thinking approach to the digital music era. Players will enjoy a curated playlist featuring emerging icons alongside multiplatinum and award-winning artists like 310babii, Lil Yee & Lil Pete, Babyface Ray, BabyTron, and more.

Additionally, Gravity Ball, the new game from Visual Concepts South, the team behind Lego 2K Drive, is also making its debut: it’s a fast-paced online multiplayer game accessible through NBA 2K25 The City, offered as optional paid DLC, where players can take a break from the court and team up for a futuristic, high-octane experience featuring unconventional rules and a unique competitive thrill.
