Sandfall Interactive announced on its social media that next week, specifically on October 16, a new trailer for Clair Obscur Expedition 33 will be released. This turn-based RPG features real-time mechanics, set in a world inspired by France during the Belle Époque. Not much information is given about what will be shown, with the only hint coming from the words in the update on the game’s Steam page, which state: Learn from those who came before and pave the way for those who will come after.
Here’s a general description of the game’s story:
Once a year, the Painter awakens and begins to paint on her monolith. She paints the cursed number. And all those who are that age turn to smoke and vanish. Year after year, the number decreases by one, and we are erased in ever-increasing numbers. Tomorrow, the Painter will awaken and paint the number “33.” And tomorrow we will set off on the final mission: to destroy the Painter, so she can no longer paint death. We are Expedition 33.
Below you can see the post on X announcing that the new trailer for Clair Obscur Expedition 33 will be shown on October 16. Remember, it will be released in 2025 (exact release date still to be revealed) on PC (Steam and Epic Games Store), PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, also available through Game Pass.
