The independent studio from the Marche region, Bad Vices Games (known for Ravenous Devils), has officially announced that their new kitchen management and psycho-horror game, While We Wait Here, will launch on October 23. The game will be available on Xbox, PlayStation 4 & 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store. The full game will cost €4.99 but will be released with a discount during the launch week. A launch trailer has also been released, which you can watch below. More details from the official press release and a gallery of screenshots are provided further down.
Set on a desolate highway, While We Wait Here begins with an impending global catastrophe that fills the air with tension and growing unease. Players take on the roles of Cliff and Nora, tasked with managing their diner. Conversations in the diner soon become tense, food is served with a touch of melancholy, and what happens outside the diner doors may just be the least of their problems.
Players can expect a game that heavily focuses on narrative choices, offering deep and emotionally charged dialogues, with multiple endings shaped by the decisions made. The true nature of While We Wait Here remains shrouded in mystery, centered around diner gameplay, but the developers suggest that players should prepare for unexpected twists beyond its walls.
Cristian Gambadori from Bad Vices Games stated:
“We have waited a long time for this moment, and we are thrilled to finally have a release date for While We Wait Here on console and PC. After the success of our last project, which was actually our third title, we took a completely different artistic direction, pushing ourselves further with this game. We can’t wait for players to experience the tension, fear, and surprising choices that While We Wait Here offers.”
