Recently, various rumors circulated online about a ridiculous scenario for Assassin’s Creed Shadows: the game’s delay to allow development teams to remove the character of Yasuke from the new chapter in the series. Fortunately, one of the most reliable journalists (and insiders) in the industry quickly debunked this.
With a firm “that’s not true,” Tom Henderson immediately shot down the absurd rumors about the character’s removal from Assassin’s Creed Shadows. So, the character (who actually existed historically) that has split the fanbase about his presence in-game, especially as a playable character, will not be affected by Ubisoft and will remain unchanged.
For those who may have missed it, the real reason for the delay to 2025 of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, along with the official statement from the French publisher that you can read below:
“Assassin’s Creed Shadows will now be released on February 14, 2025. Although the game is feature complete, lessons learned from the release of Star Wars Outlaws have led us to dedicate additional time to further refine the title. This will allow the largest chapter in the series to fully realize its ambition, particularly by keeping the promise of our adventure with two protagonists, as Naoe and Yasuke offer two very different play styles.”
