Aerosoft has announced the release date for Global Farmer, a top-down agricultural management game that allows players to choose the location of their farm anywhere on a real-world map. Developed by Thera Bytes, it will be available in early access on Steam starting October 7. A new trailer has been released for the occasion, which you can watch at the bottom of the article.
In Global Farmer, players can create their farms in any part of the world using OpenStreetMap data. Whether it’s planting crops on a mountain, in a city park, or even in front of Piazza Duomo, the game uses real geographical data to affect growing conditions such as soil quality, seasonal changes, and crop health, providing a realistic and engaging experience.
It focuses on farm management rather than vehicle operation. Players will manage their fleet of tractors and agricultural equipment, hire workers, and optimize crop rotation by making strategic decisions based on real agricultural factors. The game also features a robust map editor that allows players to modify existing maps, create custom environments, and share their creations on Steam Workshop.
