Konami has released the first major update for the 2024/25 season of eFootball today, September 12. Among the new features are numerous gameplay adjustments and a selection of in-game campaigns. A launch trailer has also been published, which you can watch below. Further down are the details of the new updates.
Here are the new gameplay features:
Contract limits have been removed, meaning users can use all their players regardless of when they were acquired. Players whose contracts have already expired can use the service again.
Automatic options have been added for player progression. This allows users to choose not to worry constantly about balancing and progression complexities, making training players simpler. Additionally, there’s the freedom to reset player progression without spending GP.
The “Finesse Dribble” is now available in eFootball. With improved usability, users will have even more options to enjoy tactical battles between offence and defence.
The new “Booster Slot” allows users to customize player attributes, providing additional boosts to stats. By obtaining and using “Random” or “Select” Token Boosters, users can further enhance their players with 17 different types of Boosters. Football legends like Ronaldinho Gaúcho, Ludovic Giuly, and Deco will be available as Epic cards with “Booster Slots.”
Campaigns
The new eFootball update launches a series of new campaigns, offering bonuses to all users, from novices to veterans. These bonuses will help strengthen Dream Teams and enhance the in-game experience, both solo and in Co-op.
Players will receive a Showtime Messi card after completing the “Skill Up” tutorial, as well as 7 random booster tokens, 7 skill training programs, and 300 eFootball coins as a free login bonus during the campaign period.
The Startup campaign will also provide some special login rewards, including Highlight: FC Barcelona Robert Lewandowski, Highlight: FC Bayern Leroy Sané, and 2 Highlight lottery for FC Barcelona and FC Bayern.
Through this and a series of campaign objectives and Tour Events, players can earn numerous in-game items.
Messi and Neymar available in the “Ambassador Edition” with boosters and teammates.
The packs will include the ambassador and 10 world-class players who have played alongside him (on mobile and Steam, this pack will be called Ambassador Pack).
