Bad Ridge Games and V Publishing have announced that Mirthwood will be released a couple of months later than expected. Initially scheduled for shortly on September 11, the medieval life simulator RPG will now arrive on Steam on November 6.
These are the words from the delay announcement, where the developers stated that they needed more time to optimize performance, localizations, and some systems that required additional work. However, there will be beta weekends to test the game before its launch:
“We want Mirthwood to be the best it can be from day one. As a small and passionate team, we have been working tirelessly to create a world that you will love, but we felt there were still key areas, like performance optimization, localization, and some systems, that needed more work and attention before launch.
We know this is disappointing for many of you, but we want to ensure the game is fully ready before releasing it, and we don’t want to launch it incomplete. For this reason, in the meantime, we’ll be hosting some beta weekends where you can participate and try out what we’re working on.”
Additionally, the team is releasing an updated roadmap to keep players informed about the development of Mirthwood. Some features originally planned for after launch will now be available at the full launch.
