Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos The Movie: second theme song and the arrival of the Sailor Star Lights

The first part of the film Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Cosmos officially premiered on August 22, on Netflix. To tease fans who haven’t seen it yet, Netflix has released two new official clips, one for the anime’s second opening theme and the other featuring the Sailor Star Lights in their new animated form. The film, adapts the beginning of the final story arc from the manga created by Naoko Takeuchi. It serves as a sequel to the 2021 film Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Eternal. The production is handled by Studio Deen, which has also worked on major productions like Fruits Basket, Junji Ito Collection, Urusei Yatsura, Ranma 1/2, and many other classics.

Synopsis:

April and the blooming cherry blossoms set the scene for these new adventures, taking place in a Tokyo celebrating the most spectacular total solar eclipse of the century. As the new moon gradually obscures the sunlight, Usagi and Chibi-Usa encounter Pegasus, who is searching for the chosen girl who can break the seal of the Golden Crystal. Meanwhile, the mysterious Dead Moon Circus arrives in town to execute their evil plan: to unleash the Lemures (the manifestation of nightmares), steal the Legendary Silver Crystal, subjugate the Moon and the Earth, and finally dominate the entire universe…
