Squirrel With a Gun

Squirrel with a Gun: console release date announced

Squirrel with a Gun releases on PC on August 29 and now we’ve got a release date for consoles. The wacky title featuring a squirrel handling oversized firearms will come to PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on October 15. The announcement comes with a new video released by the publisher Maximum Entertainment, which was also shown at the Xbox Live event on August 23 at gamescom (check out our exclusive interview with gamescom CEO Felix Falk).

The console release date trailer includes commentary from game director Deon Deont, as well as an overview of the game, featuring this unhinged animal destroying the world around it, but which can also become docile and friendly to ask for acorns from people. You will encounter a missing groom, shoot some hoops, learn to skateboard, as well as run over people or cut their hair while riding on a drone, you know, normal squirrel things. There are many ways for the player to interact with people and complete missions in exchange for the coveted golden acorns. Acorns that will then be used as currency within the game to buy new weapons or items, such as a remote-controlled car.

Check out the release trailer below and remeber that Squirell with a Gun will arrive on PC on August 29, and on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S on October 15.
