Funcom has announced the third season of free updates for Conan Exiles, their open world survival sandbox. Age of Heroes, as this new season is called, is coming in October with the first chapter that will bring two major new features. The first introduces new characters to recruit and adventure with, while the second adds quality of life features to players’ bases, granting thralls (the player’s servants and fighters) realistic behaviours and interactions.
The characters that will be added are: Freya, the Aesir warrior, and Liu Fei, the Khitan sorcerer. Each of these characters will have their own voice acting and backstory. The abilities of each companion can be modified based on the choices made. More companions are planned for subsequent chapters.
The other addition involves inhabited settlements, which allows thralls to behave like real people by being able to: express emotions; sleep; eat; manage crafting stations; defend their homes when threatened. Finally, in addition to these additions, bugs will be fixed and the quality of the title improved.
Conan Exiles Age of Heroes will arrive in October on PlayStation 4, Xbox X/S, Xbox One, Xbox Game Pass and PC via the Epic Games store and Steam.
