Crytek has recently announced that Hunt Showdown 1896 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S ; alongside the announcement, the launch trailer was released, which you can check out below.
The game runs on the proprietary engine CRYENGINE 5.11, specifically modified to fully utilize the current generation consoles; it also supports native 4K and 60FPS on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X. This new chapter of the series is set in a completely new map in Colorado called Mammon’s Gulch; a map consisting of 16 unique complexes scattered among the peaks of the Rocky Mountains and the ravines of the new Hunt biome.
Finally, Gamescom will be held in Cologne from August 21 to 25, and according to the news emerging so far, it seems that this years event will hold quite a few surprises. On August 20, the Opening Night Live event will take place, which will be hosted as usual by American journalist Geoff Keighley.
