The developer The Farm 51 has just announced the sequel to the first Chernobylite, titled Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone. This sequel will arrive in of 2025 (month unspecified) on PC and consoles, although it has not been specified whether the latter refers to current-gen or old-gen consoles. In addition to this release date information, a first gameplay trailer has also been published, which you can watch below.
The game is an open-world action RPG with a strong survival component; this means that players will have to craft items and/or structures to survive; there will also be a cooperative mode.
Currently, no further information has been released about Chernobylite 2: Exclusion Zone, so we’ll have to keep our ears peeled to learn more; however, we may hear new details about the game during the upcoming Gamescom, which will be held in Cologne from August 21 to 25, 2024. From the one-minute trailer released, it can be seen that the production is looking great graphically; even the design of the monsters we will encounter is unique and conveys the feeling of exploring a world contaminated by nuclear radiation very effectively.
