According to some rumors recently circulating online, the PC version of Final Fantasy XVI could arrive sooner than expected, although neither Square-Enix nor the development team have made official announcements regarding it; therefore, the news should be taken with due caution for now.
The latest information about this version of Final Fantasy XVI dates back to March, during an interview where producer Naoki Yoshida stated that development was “in the final stages of optimization.”
We remind you that the game is currently available only on PlayStation 5, but it is not to be excluded that an Xbox Series X/S version could arrive after the PC release. Recently, Square-Enix released the first information regarding the third part of Final Fantasy VII Remake, which has not yet been officially revealed; however, there have been no updates regarding Kingdom Hearts IV, a title that has completely disappeared and remains entirely shrouded in mystery.
From August 21 to 25, the 2024 edition of Gamescom will be held in Cologne, so it’s not to be excluded that some news from the Japanese giant might arrive during the German fair. Meanwhile, on August 20, the Opening Night Live event will take place, hosted by the renowned American journalist Geoff Keighley.
