AMD removes the Radeon RX 6600 “RDNA 2” series

According to a recent announcement, the Radeon RX 6600 “RDNA 2” lineup produced by AMD seems to have reached its EOL phase, as several GPUs like RX 6600, RX 6600 XT, and RX 6650 XT have been declared out of production. One of the cheapest graphics cards on the market is about to end. According to Board Channels, AMD’s Radeon RX 6600 lineup could soon be phased out. The RX 6600 series will slowly be replaced by the RX 6750 GRE series, with the 10 GB model serving as the new mainstream king, while the RX 7600 series will fill the other spots.

As for RX 6600, the orange company has no intention of extending its lifespan, at least in China. Since this concerns the entire Radeon RX 6600 series, we can expect AMD to end the production and supply of all three chips in the family, which include Radeon RX 6600, Radeon RX 6600 XT, and Radeon RX 6650 XT. All of these cards are based on the Navi 23 GPU silicon, but feature different configurations.

Here are some details that emerged from Board Channels:

RX 6750GRE: The 10G version will become the mainstream model, the model with the highest shipping volume among all brands and the channel model with the highest sales volume.

RX 6600 Series: AMD has halted production of this model and all brands are sold out until stock lasts. Currently, most brands are out of stock, and some brands have only a small amount of remaining stock.

RX 6500XT Series: One of AMD’s lower-end models, it will become the top-selling model of every brand and can be sold at least until the end of the year.
