Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns will arrive in September, bringing not only a new story campaign but also several new DLC fighters. Although this is a paid expansion, players of Mortal Kombat 1 can still expect new and intriguing free content.
In addition to announcing the new paid content for the fighting game, developer NetherRealm Studios also unveiled a new gameplay mechanic called Animality at San Diego Comic-Con. What exactly are Animalities? As the name suggests, they are a new version of Mortal Kombat’s Fatalities, performed exclusively by animals.
As seen in the reveal trailer, players will be able to see characters transform into animals and tear each other apart. Hippos, giant praying mantises, gorillas, and more are expected to be featured.
Animalities will be added to the game with a free update when Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns launches for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC on September 24.
