ASUS Presents the ExpertBook P5 with Intel Lunar Lake CPU

ASUS has presented its new ExpertBook P5 laptop, equipped with Intel’s new-generation Lunar Lake CPUs. ASUS showcased the first Intel Lunar Lake CPUs at Computex 2024, and it seems the company is now moving towards an official launch. The first Lunar Lake laptop in the company’s lineup is the ExpertBook P5, with an elegant and modern design and many standout features. The ASUS ExpertBook P5 is equipped with an as-yet-unrevealed Intel Lunar Lake “Core Ultra 200V” CPU. It is claimed that the processor offers cutting-edge AI capabilities with over 45 TOPS from the NPU and over 100 TOPS total from the platform when combining the CPU, GPU, and NPU. From our deep dive, we know that Lunar Lake offers up to 48 TOPS AI, while the GPU offers up to 67 TOPS, for a total of 120 TOPS AI.

Other revealed specifications include up to 32GB of LPDDR5X memory with an 8,533 MT/s clock, up to 3TB of PCIe 4.0 Dual SSD storage, Wi-Fi 7 (802.11be) support, and a keyboard with larger keycaps and 1.5mm key travel. The display is a 14″ anti-glare panel with a 2.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Altogether, this allows you to obtain a sleek laptop with a starting weight of 1.3 kg, all housed in a premium all-metal design with a 180-degree lay-flat hinge.

ASUS also employs a brand-new cooling technology that ensures optimal cooling for the laptop, both with the lid open and closed. Other key features include an enterprise-level security ecosystem, leveraging the Windows 11 secured-core PC framework and a commercial-grade BIOS with NIST-155 protection. Biometric login (fingerprint and IR camera) for Windows Hello is also available. For those seeking greater privacy, the webcam can be protected by a physical cover.
