Hey Ciri!

Epic Games and CD Projekt RED working to improve Unreal Engine 5

CD Projekt Red will abandon its proprietary game engine, the Red Engine, for its upcoming games in favor of Unreal Engine 5. In this regard, the Polish developer has started working side-by-side with Epic Games, in order to make improvements to UE 5, so that they can subsequently use it for the development of The Witcher 4.

These information were revealed by the Associate Game Director Pawel Sasko during a recent interview, where he also pointed out that both Ue5 and their proprietary game engine have annoying limitations. This led to the idea of working side-by-side with Epic Games to eliminate those engine limitations together.

Finally, we remind you that at the moment there is no information regarding the fourth chapter of the The Witcher series, currently known only by the code name Project Polaris, other than the fact that it will tell an original story where the protagonist will not be Geralt of Rivia.

The development team is also working on a multiplayer spin-off of the Witcher series, codenamed Sirius. Have you played Cyberpunk 2077 after the release of the latest titanic patch? We remind you that the famous RPG is available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X /S and Old Gen consoles PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
