Sony Music Entertainment Japan, its subsidiary Aniplex, and the developer of Palworld, Pocketpair, have announced the creation of Palworld Entertainment, a joint venture that will focus on developing the intellectual property and expanding commercial activities, including global licensing and merchandising related to Palworld, beyond the game.

Sony Music Entertainment (Japan) Inc., its subsidiary Aniplex Inc., and Pocketpair, Inc. have established a joint venture, Palworld Entertainment Inc., to expand and develop new activities related to the popular game, Palworld. The announcement was made today in a joint statement from all three companies.
The Success of Palworld
Palworld, a multiplayer survival game in an open world created, produced, and published by the Japanese developer Pocketpair, became a success in 2024 when the total number of players exceeded 25 million just one month after its release.
Game Features
The game Palworld, currently available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and via Xbox Game Pass, seamlessly integrates elements of combat, monster capturing, training, and base building. Players can use a range of weapons, from classic bows and lances to modern assault rifles and rocket launchers. Gameplay involves locating and capturing Pals, which, in addition to assisting players in building and expanding their base operations, can become powerful allies in combat.
