Samsung expects the integration of HBM3E in NVIDIA’s AI accelerators by the next quarter

According to details revealed by Samsung, the company announced that its fifth-generation HBM3E memory will be used in NVIDIA’s top AI accelerators. Comments from Samsung’s Memory Business Vice President, Kim Jae-jun, do not explicitly mention NVIDIA. Instead, it was revealed that Samsung is looking to establish a supply of HBM3E with a major customer, and analysts suggest this likely points to NVIDIA, as the Korean giant is now more cautious with its statements. Here’s what the Vice President of Samsung said:

Both the HBM3E 8-stack and 12-stack products are in mass production and sales, and significant quality testing phases have been completed for a major customer, leading to expanded sales in the fourth quarter. We are preparing enhanced HBM3E products in line with our main customer’s next-generation graphics processing unit (GPU) plans.

In a previous report, it was revealed that Samsung has already received qualification for its HBM3E process from NVIDIA.
