NVIDIA maintains its position in the GPU market with 60-class GPUs

According to recent announcements, NVIDIA maintains its position in the GPU market, while competing products from AMD and Intel are declining in the major DIY markets. Its previous-generation RTX 30-series Ampere GPUs continue to sell like hot cakes, as seen from recent rankings on various retail websites. This is confirmed by the Steam Hardware survey as well. According to the October survey, the GeForce RTX 3060 is still at the top of the list, holding a 7.46% share of all GPUs. This marks a +1.60% increase from last month and is the highest lately.

Surprisingly, the RTX 4060 is also performing quite well. Not only the desktop variant but also the laptop variant. The RTX 4060 laptop GPU has secured the second spot in Steam’s most popular GPU rankings with a 5.61% share, increasing by +1.24% in the last month. Following closely is the RTX 4060 for desktop with a 5.25% share, along with NVIDIA’s budget cards making up the top 10 most used GPUs according to Steam worldwide. The laptop RTX 4060 might be more successful, as it is roughly on par with the desktop variant, unlike other higher-end SKUs.
