The development team at Vertpaint, made up of former veterans from Rockstar Games and TellTale Games, has just announced a new intellectual property called Ritual Tides, which is currently in development for PC and set to release in the third quarter of 2025.
For the occasion, a brief teaser trailer has also been released, which you can find at the end of this article. In a recent interview, creative director James Macleod commented on the announcement, stating: “We can’t wait to show more of Ritual Tides to survival horror fans.”
The company also revealed that the game will later be available on current-gen consoles. The released video, which lasts about fifty seconds, doesn’t reveal much about the production aside from some unique ink drawings. However, it appears that one of the main inspirations for the developers is Lovecraftian mythology. For now, Vertpaint has not provided any further details on Ritual Tides, so we will have to wait for future official announcements to learn more.
