Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Dragon Age: The Veilguard is available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S

Electronic Arts and BioWare have made Dragon Age: The Veilguard available starting today at 5 PM on PlayStation 5 (also optimized for PS5 Pro), Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam (verified on Steam Deck), EA app, and Epic Games Store. According to the team, this adventure aims to provide everything the series is known for: an engaging story, fantastical lands, trusted companions, and a world where your actions truly matter.
Gary McKay, Vice President/General Manager of BioWare and Executive Producer of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, stated:
“On behalf of all of us at BioWare, I want to thank you for joining us on our latest adventure. After years of careful planning, countless hours of expert work, and numerous design decisions, Dragon Age: The Veilguard is ready. We are truly proud of this milestone and excited to see its impact on our global community of fans, without whom none of this would be possible. We hope you enjoy your adventure with Rook as much as we enjoyed creating it.”
Below is the general story description:
In Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Solas, the Fearsome Wolf, seeks to destroy the Veil separating Thedas from the demon world, restoring immortality and glory to his people, even at the cost of countless lives. However, his ritual goes awry, and his worst fears are realized when two of his oldest and most powerful adversaries are freed. Players will take on the role of Rook, a completely customizable protagonist who must step forward and unite their companions to stop these two powerful deities on a journey that will take them across all of Thedas, featuring bustling cities, lush tropics, boreal forests, treacherous swamps, and unfathomable depths.
Here are some technical features:
Dragon Age: The Veilguard supports an ultrawide 21:9 aspect ratio, unlimited framerate on PC, and a range of Ray Tracing features. Additionally, you can boost performance with DLSS 3, make the game even more responsive with Reflex, and enhance image quality and immersion with ray-traced reflections and ambient occlusion. It will also be available in “Ultimate” quality via NVIDIA GeForce NOW, and specifically optimized for PlayStation 5 Pro. Furthermore, this will be EA’s first title to offer GAMING HDR10+ support, automatically ensuring high dynamic range performance on certified HDR10+ displays, including Amazon TV, Roku TV, Hisense TVs, and Samsung gaming TVs and monitors.
Lastly, remember that Academy Award winner Hans Zimmer and Grammy winner Lorne Balfe co-composed the official game soundtrack (OST), which will be officially released on November 1 through Lakeshore Records. The first single from the album, Dragon Age: The Veilguard Main Theme, is available for download and streaming on all major music services like Spotify, iTunes, and Deezer.
