HONOR Snapdragon Summit 2024: all the AI innovations for the new Magic series

The global tech brand HONOR announced today that its upcoming Magic7 series will be powered by Qualcomm Technologies, Inc.’s groundbreaking Snapdragon 8 Elite mobile platform. At the Snapdragon Summit 2024, HONOR revealed its plans to develop an AI-first ecosystem. On stage, HONOR showcased the revolutionary AI features coming to the Magic7 series, including the industry’s first on-device AI Agent for an open ecosystem, the first real-time NPU graphic rendering for mobile gaming, and the first on-device AI-enabled generative portrait with extraordinary sharpness. The company also gave a sneak peek at what its new flagship series will look like. The HONOR Magic7 series will debut the industry’s first on-device AI Agent for an open ecosystem. With a simple text or voice command, the AI Agent can order takeout on behalf of the user. With user consent, it can learn from their habits to make smart decisions, like understanding the user’s preferences and ordering accordingly.
It can also find and cancel unwanted subscriptions across various apps with a simple command, breaking the barriers between apps and services. The AI Agent assists users in a wide range of tasks, including travel planning, ticket booking, calendar scheduling, notification management, file transfers between apps, and more. Set to launch with MagicOS 9.0 on the HONOR Magic7 series, the AI Agent offers unprecedented convenience and ushers in the era of AI Autopilot. The upcoming Magic7 smartphone will be the first to bring generative AI for photo portraits and gaming, thanks to NPU processing. The new series will introduce the industry’s first real-time AI graphic rendering for mobile gaming. Compared to other smartphones, HONOR’s solution reduces the GPU load, resulting in lower device temperatures and an enhanced gaming experience with superior image quality.
During the event, HONOR demonstrated how it is collaborating with Qualcomm Technologies to define an AI-first ecosystem, aiming to revolutionize user experiences in connectivity, interaction, and performance. HONOR showcased how its MagicRing technology is enhancing the ecosystem through a range of products, applications, and services. MagicRing facilitates a multiservice AI experience across devices, ensuring a secure and smooth flow of services and information between devices. For instance, when using Windows on Snapdragon, Cocreator enables users to create detailed artworks from simple drawings. Thanks to MagicRing, users can seamlessly access Cocreator on their HONOR MagicPad 2, crafting AI masterpieces with their Magic Pencil. They can also use HONOR Magic V3’s AI Eraser on the HONOR MagicBook Art 14 to experience the convenience of mobile AI across all devices.
