On October 23, a new Monster Hunter Wilds Showcase was held, showcasing more details about the upcoming chapter of the famous Capcom saga. Presented by producer Ryozo Tsujimoto, the first part featured a new trailer revealing a new region, the Oil Basin, which is obviously rich in oil and prone to large fires. Unique creatures found in this area include Rompopolo and Ajarakan. The village of Azuz, the forgeterna, was also shown, along with a creature called black flame lurking in its depths.
It was then announced that there will be an open beta on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, from Friday November 1 until November 4 at 3:59 AM. Those subscribed to PlayStation Plus will have exclusive early access from October 29 at 04:00 AM until October 31 at 3:59 AM. Crossplay will be available across all three platforms.

In this open beta, players will be able to create their own character, get a preview of the story, and try the Doshaguna hunting mission. Participants will also receive a special bonus pendant to decorate weapons or the Seikret mount, along with a pack of items in the full version of the game.
