According to a New Zealand retailer’s website, the second expansion of Alan Wake 2, titled The Lake House, will be released on October 22, coinciding with the retail edition of the game. However, Remedy Entertainment has not yet confirmed this information, so we’ll have to wait for official announcements to learn more.
Some time ago, the game studio stated that all its efforts would be focused on developing existing IPs, rather than creating new ones. This decision may stem from the commercial underperformance of the sequel to the first Alan Wake, which has yet to fully recoup its substantial development costs a year after its release. It’s still unclear what the team will work on once support for Alan Wake 2 concludes, but it’s possible they might turn their attention to a sequel for Control.
