The Legend of Zelda Echoes of Wisdom was released just last week, but sales reports for the physical copies of the game in UK stores have already emerged, affecting this week’s chart rankings. The new chapter, according to a report by Christopher Dring, debuted at number two in the UK weekly charts, with sales being 14% lower than the remake of The Legend of Zelda Link’s Awakening. Here’s Dring’s comment:
The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom debuts at No. 2 in the UK physical charts this week (sadly, Nintendo doesn’t share digital data). Launch sales are 14% lower than the 2019 Link’s Awakening remake. I suspect that the sales figures are actually quite close between the two.

Here’s an overview of the game from Nintendo’s page:
Save the kingdom of Hyrule, this time with the wisdom of Princess Zelda, in The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of Wisdom for Nintendo Switch. The inhabitants of Hyrule are disappearing, swallowed by strange rifts that have appeared out of nowhere, and among the victims is a certain swordsman. So, it’s up to Princess Zelda to step in and save her kingdom. Team up with the mysterious fairy Tri and use the power of the Tri staff to learn how to create replicas, or reproductions of the characters and objects you encounter in the world. Once you learn the technique, you can create replicas anytime to solve puzzles and defeat enemies. Use the Tri staff to create “replicas,” or reproductions of what you find in your surroundings.
