Baldur’s Gate 3: Patch 7 now available for console and Mac, new animated short released

The new patch for Baldur’s Gate 3 is now available on console and Mac. Today’s update is substantial, introducing new evil endings, a revamped split-screen gameplay, and a curated selection of community-made mods. To celebrate the modding season and the fact that over 15 million mods have already been downloaded, the team has also produced an animation with Mashed, featuring the characters from Baldur’s Gate 3 facing the chaotic Wizard of Mod and his army of unfiltered chaos: you can watch the short film below.

Already available on PC, patch 7 now allows Mac and console players (PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S) to access gory mutilations, multiplayer updates, and the growing collection of player-created mutations featured in the latest patch.

Highlights include:

The in-game Mod Manager: Browse, install, and use a curated selection of community-created mods! Create mods on PC with the Baldur’s Gate 3 Toolkit, an official and accessible way to enter the world of modding.

New “evil endings”: New cinematic endings for the most villainous playthroughs and unique endings for original characters.

Revamped split-screen gameplay: Dynamic split-screen is now available for couch co-op multiplayer! When playing in split-screen and you’re close to another party member, the screens will merge into a single display as you venture together.
