Pocketpair and Krafton have announced that they have signed an agreement to jointly develop the mobile version of the Pokémon-like survival game, Palworld. Recently, the PlayStation 5 version of the game was launched. It’s also worth noting that Pocketpair has been accused by The Pokémon Company and Nintendo of violating one or more aspects of one of their patents.
Here’s an overview via Steam:
You can choose to live peacefully alongside mysterious creatures known as Pals, or compete with poachers. Pals can fight, breed, work in fields or factories. You can even sell them or use them as food.
Features
Survive
The lack of food, a hostile environment, and the illegal activities of poachers… This is a world filled with dangers. To survive, you can’t afford to have scruples. You might even have to resort to eating your Pal.
Ride and explore
Hop on your Pal and explore the land, sea, and sky: leave no corner unvisited.
Build
Want to build a pyramid? Just gather enough Pals to get to work. Don’t worry: labor laws don’t apply to Pals.
Organize your life
Light a fire, generate electricity, mine for minerals… Gather Pals capable of performing all kinds of tasks to secure your ideal lifestyle.
Explore the dungeons
No place is too dangerous as long as you have Pals by your side. If worst comes to worst, use their bodies as shields. Every Pal is willing to sacrifice its life for you.
Palworld is available for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. Stay tuned for more information.
