Nintendo Switch 2: is the console ready for a reveal very soon?

Important updates are coming in regarding the Nintendo Switch 2 (the temporary name for the new Nintendo hardware while we wait for the official name), although this news should still be treated as leaks and nothing more. However, they contain significant information, as they come from one of the accessory manufacturers for the console, specifically the CEO of Blade Representaciones S.L, Ruben Mercado.

According to Mercado, Nintendo Switch 2 is practically ready and the reveal is imminent, with a launch set for April 2025 if the big N’s fiscal year closes positively, while it could be moved up to March 2025 if the company’s performance in Kyoto isn’t up to expectations.

Ruben Mercado also hinted at the price for the new Nintendo Switch 2: it will be higher than the current Switch models but will not exceed the prices of PlayStation and Xbox consoles, suggesting a cost between 400 and 500 euros.

Details about the Joy-Con are also emerging. They will feature a magnetic attachment to the console (and more) and will be quite different from what users might expect. To support this information, Mercado stated that his company has been unable to produce suitable cases for this new type of Joy-Con.

At this point, we expect the announcement of the Switch successor sometime in October, with pre-orders opening by the end of next month.
