The Penguin

The Penguin: the spin-off of The Batman arrives on Sky, interview with Colin Farrell

September 20, exclusively on Sky and streaming only on NOW, The Penguin, the series featuring Oscar-nominee Colin Farrell, an offshoot of the film “The Batman” based on DC Comics characters, will debut with a new five-minute behind-the-scenes video released today. Each episode will be available weekly, airing simultaneously with the United States before being available on demand and streaming. This dramatic series consists of eight episodes from DC Studios, with Lauren LeFranc as showrunner. THE PENGUIN sees Farrell in the role of Batman’s iconic nemesis and continues the epic crime saga initiated by director Matt Reeves with the global blockbuster “The Batman” (Warner Bros. Pictures, 2022). Today, we present a dual interview with Colin Farrell and Cristin Milioti.

In addition to Farrell as Oz Cobb “The Penguin,” the cast includes Cristin Milioti (Sofia Falcone), Rhenzy Feliz (Victor Aguilar), Michael Kelly (Johnny Viti), Shohreh Aghdashloo (Nadia Maroni), Deirdre O’Connell (Francis Cobb), Clancy Brown (Salvatore Maroni), James Madio (Milos Grappa), Scott Cohen (Luca Falcone), Michael Zegen (Alberto Falcone), Carmen Ejogo (Eve Karlo), and Theo Rossi (Dr. Julian Rush). Executive producers of the series include Matt Reeves, Dylan Clark, Colin Farrell, Lauren LeFranc (who also writes and serves as showrunner), Craig Zobel (who directs the first three episodes), and Bill Carraro.

Based on characters created for DC by Bob Kane and Bill Finger, THE PENGUIN is produced by Reeves’ 6th & Idaho Productions and Dylan Clark Productions in association with Warner Bros. Television, which has an exclusive deal with Reeves and his 6th & Idaho. Pipski is also among the executive producers.

The series further enriches the already extensive library of titles dedicated to the DC Comics universe available on Sky and NOW, including “The Flash,” “Shazam! Fury of the Gods,” “Suicide Squad,” and “Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.”
