Weta Workshop has recently announced that Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game has been pushed back to early 2025, meaning it will no longer be released this year as previously stated.
Below are the developers’ statements: “We are super excited to work on such an important license created by the writer J.R.R. Tolkien. At the same time, to deliver this new adventure in Middle-earth to players, we need a bit more time.” Weta Workshop has also announced a showcase scheduled for September 22, during which new information about the game will be revealed. We invite you to stay tuned to these virtual pages for all upcoming updates.
Finally, we remind you that the new edition of the Tokyo Game Show will take place from September 26 to 29, 2024, featuring Sony, which is participating for the first time in a while. In relation to the Japanese giant, it seems that a new State of Play will be held towards the end of this month, although it is currently just an unconfirmed rumour. Tales of the Shire: A The Lord of the Rings Game will be released in the early months of 2025 on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and Nintendo Switch.
