The launch trailer for Yars Rising, a 2D platform adventure developed by WayForward, has been released, reminding players of its availability today on all platforms.
Players will assume the role of young hacker Emi Kimura, who is hired by a mysterious benefactor to infiltrate the enigmatic corporation QoTech. The mission is to uncover a complex secret shrouded in intrigue. Emi’s powers grow throughout the adventure, allowing her to backtrack and access previously unreachable secret areas.
Emi can hack, run, jump, shoot, and fight her way through waves of robotic and alien enemies, but she can’t always engage in combat and will need to hide in the shadows to evade security guards. The game features an extensive and interconnected map, providing hours of exploration. A series of hacking minigames pay homage to the original Yars’ Revenge, offering fast-paced gameplay with a top-down approach.

Yars Rising is available starting today, September 10, 2024, for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the Steam store.
