PLAION and Dambuster Studios have announced that Dead Island 2 Ultimate Edition will be released on October 22.
In addition to the complete base game of Dead Island 2, players will have access to both story expansions, Haus and SoLA, as well as numerous special weapons and equipment, including the new Kingdom Come: Deliverance II pack, and:
- Banoi Memories Pack
- Golden Weapons Pack
- Pulp Weapons Pack
- Red’s Death Katana
- 6 premium character packs
Additionally, with the upcoming patch 6, which will be free for all owners of the game, a new cooperative horde mode called Neighborhood Vigilante will be introduced. Developed by Fishlabs in collaboration with Dambuster Studios, it pits players against relentless swarms of zombies. As the Bobcats, a new trio of college survivors, players must defend their home in the canals of Venice from ceaseless waves of zombies, using new skills, weapons, and traps (a first for the series). For this occasion, the trailer for the mode has been released, which you can check out in the post on X at the bottom of the news.
Finally, with the addition of New Game Plus, players can return to the heart of Los Angeles (or HELL-A) with their favourite characters and weapons to face a series of new challenges and rewards; there is also an additional skill slot and an increased level cap.
