The launch trailer for Elsie, a technicolour action roguelike platformer developed by Knight Shift Games, has been released, coinciding with its launch today across all platforms.
The game is set on the planet Ekis, a world rich in natural resources and scientific discoveries. However, chaos reigns here due to numerous natural disasters. The story begins with Dr. Grey, a talented scientist who has created a team of androids capable of preventing such disasters. These androids are known as “the Guardians.” The true power of the Guardians lies in the Arclight Core, an energy source that allows them to bend the elements to their will. One day, without any warning, the Guardians vanished.
The player will need to test their skills against exuberant bots, gigantic bosses, and the Guardians of the biomes, memorizing patterns to achieve victory. They will also have to make strategic decisions about upgrades, skills, and weapons, drastically altering the dynamics of each run. Players can experiment with different play styles and create devastating synergies.
Elsie is available September 10, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC via the Steam store.
