Sports Interactive has recently revealed exciting new information about Football Manager 25 on its official blog. Below is a summary of all the announcements made:
- Unlike previous editions, the development team has decided to completely revamp everything in the upcoming release, starting with the game engine and introducing several innovations in gameplay.
- The option to directly manage national teams has been removed, although these teams will still be present in the game.
- The new graphics engine that the game will use is Unity.
According to director Miles Jacobson, this decision has pushed back the game’s release date, now set for the end of November. Moreover, the new edition will forgo the national team management mode; the director explained that trying to redevelop this mode with the new engine was not yielding the quality results expected, leading to the tough decision to completely cut the option to manage a national team.
Sports Interactive emphasized that national teams will still be included in the game and that, according to their internal surveys, very few players were using them. Finally, we remind you that the new edition of the Tokyo Game Show will take place from September 26 to 29, 2024.
