For Splatoon 3, patch 9.0.0 has been made available, which will include new amiibo compatibility and multiplayer changes. We remind you of the upcoming Splatfest Grand Festival that will take place from September 13 to 16. You can find the complete notes of the new update on the official Nintendo website here.
Below is an overview of the game from the official Nintendo site:
Welcome to Splatville, a sun-kissed city in the heart of Splatoon, where a host of new weapons, moves, scenarios, and clothing await you! Ink your rivals in colorful online battles, fend off waves of Salmonids, and thwart the invasion of the Octarians. Conquer territory by splattering it with ink in 4-on-4 turf wars, where you must choose the right moment to switch between humanoid and mollusk forms. The team that covers the most territory wins! The citizens of Splatville are showcasing some new skills. You can battle against other players in various ways! Test your skills in friendly matches, or try to climb the rankings in one of the four modes of anarchic matches. Both types of multiplayer matches can be played with friends on the same team. Play with friends in private matches, available also via local communication, setting modes and other options to your liking! For those who love splatting like crazy, multiplayer modes such as X Match and League Match will be added in a future software update.
