Subliminal

Subliminal: new trailer for the horror/psychological puzzle inspired by the Backrooms.

The team Accidental Studios, and the publishers Gone-Shootin and Infini Fun, have released a pre-release trailer for Subliminal, a puzzle horror/psychological game inspired by the urban legend of the Backrooms, an internet phenomenon that emerged in the early 2020s describing an endless maze of yellow walls with office-themed and other liminal environments. The video, which you can see at the bottom of the news, starts with a kind of warning message about what will happen in the adventure, then shows a good amount of gameplay that highlights the photorealistic graphics and the creepy atmospheres. The game will feature multiple distinct game levels, each with different challenges, and upon completion, players will be able to access different levels, ultimately influencing the game’s ending.

The game will be available on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S, but there is currently no release date.

Accompanying the video, the developers stated:

“Thank you all for the incredible patience with which we have transformed the vision we had for Subliminal almost 3 years ago into the massive project it has become today. The development of Subliminal has been a wild but incredible journey, and we hope you will love what we have created as much as we have loved making it.” – Sven
