Debtors’ Club is now available on Steam, a management game focused on storytelling and developed by mecagames.
The player, along with their team of collectors, must ensure that businesses in the city pay what they owe to the public treasury. Governance is not cheap, and it is up to the player to make sure everyone pays, regardless of the cost. The player will need to persuade and intimidate debtors, ruthlessly examine their financial documents, and if necessary, send a couple of thugs to explain in a rough and violent manner that tax evasion is not welcome in civil society. The law is on their side, as long as they manage to meet the daily collection quota. The choices and behaviour during the experience will define the journey, in a roguelike-style narrative experience that combines handcrafted content with an innovative dialogue generation system.
Debtors’ Club was released yesterday, August 26, 2024, for PC through on Steam.
