Electronic Arts and BioWare have finally announced that Dragon Age The Veilguard will be available globally on October 31, 2024, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam (Deck Verified), EA app, and Epic Games Store. Additionally, fans can now pre-order the Standard Edition and Deluxe Edition to receive exclusive in-game aesthetic items to further customize their journey in the new critically acclaimed saga chapter.
In Dragon Age The Veilguard, players will take on the role of Rook, a completely customizable protagonist who must forge ahead, rally their team, and become the heroic figure Thedas needs in an era when legends are born or perish before their time. Alongside Rook in the battle against the corrupted elven deities is a cast of seven intriguing companions, each hailing from a legendary faction of the Dragon Age world. Beyond their motivations and personal stories, companions Bellara, Davrin, Emmrich, Harding, Lucanis, Neve, and Taash introduce unique abilities and gear that Rook will need to strategically implement in the fight for the future of Thedas.
“Having worked on Dragon Age for over 15 years, I know how eager and excited our community is, and I am equally excited to announce that Dragon Age The Veilguard will be available on October 31,” said John Epler, the game’s creative director. “We wanted to give you the chance to express yourselves and do so in a world full of adventure and peril. So whether you are Warriors, Rogues, or Mages, we can’t wait for you to gear up, gather your party, and set off on another thrilling adventure in Thedas this Halloween.”
As a character-driven RPG, Dragon Age The Veilguard offers a meticulously crafted experience, weaving together the threads of rich storytelling and fantasy world-building for which the series is famous. In this bold and heroic adventure, players will experience extensive and dynamic events that explore love, loss, and complex choices that will influence the relationships and fate of each member of the Veilguard. In true Dragon Age style, these bonds of friendship are the foundation upon which Rook’s journey is built, and it will be up to the player to decide how their personal story unfolds.
Fans who pre-order the Standard Edition of Dragon Age The Veilguard will receive the Blood Dragon Armour aesthetic set for the warrior, mage, and rogue classes. Those who pre-order the Deluxe Edition will also receive the following aesthetic items: three armour sets for Rook, six weapons for Rook, seven armour sets for companions, and seven weapons for companions. EA Play Pro members on the EA app will enjoy unlimited access to the EA Play Pro Edition starting October 31.
Additionally, the BioWare Gear Store has been stocked with a variety of new items, including Rook’s chest, which includes a range of unique physical items, including a glowing lyrium dagger, a Rook playing card deck featuring game art, and much more (game not included).
