PlayStation have released a video on their YouTube channel revealing the release date of Until Dawn and showing the graphical enhancements that this remaster brings.
This trailer compares the two console versions: PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5. You can see how the new graphics engine, Unreal Engine 5, is able to make the scenes more realistic. In fact, as mentioned in the post published on the PlayStation blog, the developers have employed modern pre-rendering simulation techniques to create more realistic fluids in real-time, in addition to updating the damage display system, which allows for adding elements such as cuts, abrasions, tears, snow, and water to the characters’ bodies.
Additional features have also been added, including new collectibles and the possibility to experience the adventure in third-person while maintaining the cinematic cut of the original.

The remaster of Until Dawn will be released on October 4, 2024 for PlayStation 5 and PC via the Steam store.
