Through the official X account of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, Ubisoft showcased a new short clip of the game, lasting about 30 seconds. The video displays Naoe’s stealth gameplay, which showcases his movement abilities while utilizing stealth. Assassin’s Creed Shadows will be released on November 15 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
Players can choose between two characters: the light footed Naoe, and the the samurai Yasuke; the two protagonists will have specific gameplay elements as they not only fight using different weapons but also have different builds. It’s been since Assassin’s Creed Syndicate and AC: Odyssey that we have seen in a chapter of the series the ability to switch from one character to another with just the press of a button.
However, the introduction of a character like Yasuke has stirred quite a controversy among gamers, leading some of them to even start a petition to request the cancellation of the game. Ubisoft issued a letter dedicated to the Japanese community explaining the reasons behind the choice to include the black samurai in this new chapter of the series.
