1047 Games has just released a new trailer for Splitgate 2; a title set to release in 2025 for Xbox Series X/S, PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. The development team also announced that Splitgate 2 will be playable at the upcoming Gamescom in Cologne, which will take place from August 21 to 25. It seems that many of the titles expected to release next year will be present at the fair with a playable demo; all signs point to a truly intense and explosive 2024 edition.
As can be seen from the trailer, the game is a fast-paced free-to-play 4Vs4 shooter, and the gameplay shown is clearly in Alpha version, as can be easily noticed from the low level of detail in the polygonal models, particularly those of the weapons which currently look quite poor. However, we are confident that the title will improve significantly by the time of its release.
The genre is currently very crowded, with many valid and far more famous representatives. Who knows if this new production will manage to carve out its own community of gamers.
